ACOPEB is online software that can be used to calculate OPEB obligations and annual costs using the entry age cost method with a 30 year amortization for any actuarial accrued liability. The software was developed to meet the requirements of GASB Statement 45 for the alternative calculation of OPEB for state and local government plans with fewer than 100 members.

The software was developed by Joe Stimac who has experience developing financial accounting and reporting software for state and local governments, Mark Abrahams of The Abrahams Group who has many years of experience consulting with state and local governments on financial management, budgeting, and reporting as well as establishing performance management systems, and James Fountain who has long experience with financial reporting and performance measurement for state and local governments.

ACOPEB software was reviewed by an actuary for reasonableness of the methodology used and assumptions made. It was also reviewed by a CPA for calculation integrity and accuracy of calculations that lead to the reported information.
